Flourless nut cake
A simple nut cake without flour, which you can make with just 5 ingredients.
Ingredients
- 200 g ground nuts
- 4 pcs Eggs
- 150 g Honey or other sweetener
- 1⁄2 kl baking powder
- pinch of salt

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sweetener. I personally prefer honey, it gives the cake a natural sweetness and delicious taste.
Add the ground nuts, baking powder and a pinch of salt to the eggs. Mix the mixture to a smooth dough. I use a little baking powder to make the cake lighter and fluffier.
Pour the batter into the cake tin and place in the oven. Bake for about 40 minutes, but check with a skewer to make sure the cake is well cooked. Each oven bakes a little differently.
After baking, let this flourless nut cake cool completely. I usually bake it in the evening and let it cool overnight. Then in the morning I have a fresh and delicious cake for breakfast.
Those who want to can decorate it according to their taste, either with chocolate or sugar icing.
