American blueberry pie
Today I'm going to share with you my favorite version of the classic American blueberry pie. It's a simple and straightforward recipe that I've made countless times. At first glance, it may seem like this pie is challenging to prepare, but it's actually very simple if you follow the steps.
Ingredients
- 500 g blueberry
- 200 g flour
- 100 g Crystal sugar
- 125 g butter
- 1 Spoons With
- pinch of salt
- Teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 pcs egg
- Semolina sugar for sprinkling

Directions
Start by preheating the oven to 180 °C and preparing a round cake tin with a diameter of 26 cm.
In a bowl, mix the flour with the salt and sugar. After this step, add the butter and form a crispy dough.
Take a third of the dough and set it aside. Squeeze the rest of the dough carefully into the tin to cover the bottom and edges. This is necessary because the blueberry filling is quite runny and we need to make sure it doesn't spill out.
Wash the blueberries and drain. Then mix them with honey and vanilla extract. Spread the blueberry filling evenly over the dough in the pie tin.
Finally, take the remaining third of the dough and make the top layer of the pie.
Sprinkle the top with blueberries and caster sugar for a beautiful golden colour.
Bake the American blueberry pie in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, until it is beautifully golden brown around the edges and crisp on top.
