Pasta with tomato sauce
A light and quick lunch without meat. Pasta with tomato sauce is my favorite dish. Whether it's because of their simplicity, nutrition, or the variation possibilities.
Ingredients
- 400 g pasta

Directions
Rinse the tomatoes, cut them into quarters and remove the seeds. Then cut the tomatoes into small pieces.
Peel and finely chop the garlic.
Heat some olive oil in a pot, add the chopped garlic and fry it. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Once the garlic is aromatic (but not yet coloured), add the chopped tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and simmer over a low heat for about 15 minutes. This will allow the tomatoes and garlic to combine beautifully and create a wonderfully flavorful sauce.
In the meantime, cook the pasta al dente in a large pot of salted water according to the instructions on the package. Keep in mind that Czech pasta manufacturers indicate a longer than optimal cooking time. The pasta should remain slightly firm in the centre to maintain the right \al dente\ texture.
When the pasta is ready, drain it, but leave a little of the boiled water. Add the pasta water to the sauce, this will help the sauce to combine better with the pasta.
Add the pasta to the tomato sauce and mix well so that the sauce wraps nicely around each pasta.
Serve immediately sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Enjoy!
