Homemade Oven Baked Crispy Potato Chips
Here comes a healthier yet tasty alternative to store-bought chips - the Homemade Oven Chips. Transform your potatoes into crispy, golden delights using just your oven. Vegan, gluten-free and guilt-free, these chips are perfect for a snack, a side dish, or a casual munching while watching movies with loved ones.
Ingredients
- 4 larger potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Optional: your chosen herbs for additional flavor (rosemary, thyme or garlic powder)

Directions
Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
Start by washing the potatoes thoroughly and dry them. Do not peel the skin off.
Cut the potatoes into chips - about 1cm thick.
Put the chips in a saucepan and pour over just enough boiling water to cover them. Bring back to boil and lower the heat to simmer for 4 mins.
Carefully drain off the water and leave the chips to steam dry for a few minutes.
Spread the chips out in a single layer on a large baking tray.
Drizzle over the olive oil and mix well in order to coat all chips.
Season according to your preference with salt, pepper and if you like, sprinkle some herbs.
Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure to turn them over halfway through.
Serve hot from the oven for best taste.
