Homemade Australian jelly slices recipe
This easy recipe teaches how to make homemade jelly slices, a loved Australian dessert. Try it at home!
Ingredients
- 250 g plain sweet biscuits
- 175 g butter
- 395 g can sweetened condensed milk
- 1⁄3 Cup lemon juice
- 3⁄4 Cup boiling water
- 3 spoon gelatine powder
- 1 package strawberry jelly

Directions
Crush the biscuits into small crumbs. Mix them with the melted butter until combined.

Spread the mixture across the base of the tin and push down with your fingers. Then, place the tin in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Add 2 teaspoons of gelatine to the boiling water and stir until it’s absorbed.

Pour the condensed milk and lemon juice into a bowl. Add the gelatine mixture and stir until combined.

Pour the mixture over the biscuit base and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Prepare the jelly adding an extra teaspoon of gelatine to make it easier to set.
